Healdsburg Community Center Summer Schedule
CAMP HBG: DAY CAMP (5 ½ -7 & 7 ½-11 years) 

Our Camp HBG Day Camps are offered to campers 5 ½ -11 years old. Along with our “Welcome to Camp HBG” description at the top of the page, this summer we look forward to a return to the Swim Center each week! A nutritious morning and afternoon snack is provided as well as entry to the pool!

CAMP HBG: PRESCHOOL (2 ½ - 5 years)

Each week you camper will go on an adventure with age appropriate activities. The experience of a traditional summer camp just like the big kids. A nutritious morning snack will be provided, and each child will need to bring a lunch.

Junior Giants:  (June 13th-Aug 3rd)

We are thrilled to announce that the City of Healdsburg has been named a host site for the 2022 Jr. Giants Program! This program is a FREE non-competitive and coed baseball program for youth ages 5-13. Working together with local families, and volunteers, Junior Giants reaches into communities and offers a chance to learn the basics of baseball during the summer while also discovering the importance of essential life skills.  Registration begins April 11th

Recreational Volleyball    (10-16  years)

Join us for our 4-week volleyball course. Taught by our staff with 15 years of high school and Club coaching experience. We will cover the fundamentals of serving, passing, setting, hitting, and defense. This fast-paced class will be open to players of all experience levels.

PLAY-WELL TEKNOLOGIES
Enchanted Engineering Using LEGO Materials (5 – 7 Years)

Come join our fun and knowledgeable Play-Well Instructors as we use LEGO materials to build and interact with our favorite fairy tales! Help Cinderella make it back before midnight, fly with Peter Pan and the lost Boys, and ensure Alice outwits the Queen of Hearts. All we need is your creativity and a little magic to bring it all to life!

MARVELous Engineering Using LEGO Materials (7- 12 Years)

LEGO® Builders Assemble! We need you to come join our experienced Play-Well Instructors to save the world. We will use LEGO® to build our strongest Avengers to defeat Thanos, help Thor retrieve Mjolnir, swing through the city with Spider-man, and tell Hulk to....Smash! Our journey will take us to battles on this world and beyond; are you up to the challenge?

Adventures in STEM with LEGO Materials (5 – 10 Years)

Gear up your imagination with tens of thousands of LEGO® parts! Build engineer-designed projects such as: Space Stations, Fire Trucks, and the Eiffel Tower. Design and build as never before and explore your craziest ideas

Minecraft Engineering Using LEGO Materials ( 5 -10 Years)

Venture into the world of Minecraft in our unique LEGO® experience. Get ready to build your base, craft your tools, use your Minecart to harvest raw resources, and battle to stop the Ender Dragon from ending the world. Come explore the endless possibilities of LEGO® with a trained Play-Well instructor.

Aikido (5-15 Years Old)
Aikido “The Way of Harmony” is a martial and self-defense art developed in Japan in the early 1900s. It is non-violent, dynamic, and fun! Aikido teaches how to find a peaceful resolution to the most common forms of conflict. The instructor for the classes, Chris King, holds a second-degree blackbelt in Aikido and has been teaching Aikido for children for the past 15 years.

Dog Training (18+ Years Old)
Companion Dog I. For dogs 4 1/2 months or older. This class will concentrate on developing a relationship with your dog, that will develop communication. Problem areas will be addressed with practical solutions. We will have some fun along the way.

Building Blocks (3-5 Years Old) - Program runs September - May
Building Blocks is a preschool program designed for 3-5 years olds that mixes the concept of play-based learning with STEAM-based learning. This program incorporates a developmentally appropriate curriculum that engages children in a safe and social learning environment. The curriculum encompasses age-appropriate hands-on activities centered around science, technology, engineering, math, literacy, and art. Children will have the freedom to move about at their own pace, make discoveries, and practice skills with a variety of materials. Daily circle time and small group activities will help prepare your child for an early academic learning environment while encouraging and emphasizing, social development and self-help skills needed for kindergarten.

ADULT SPORTS

Adult Soccer 18+ Years
Are you looking for a chance to play against fellow soccer fans? Healdsburg Community Services has just the league for you! Anyone 18 years old and up is welcome to play. This league is a (7v7) Co-Ed format and games will be played at Healdsburg High School under the lights with a double round robin schedule with playoffs.     If you are interested in playing but do not have a team, contact the Community Services Dept. to be added to a ‘Free Agent List’.

Adult Softball: Leagues operate with all teams scheduled to play a minimum of 8 games. Seasons conclude with the top teams in each division competing in a playoff leading to a championship game. Leagues are offered Wednesday-Thursday. Each league has a maximum of 12 teams. Leagues are designed to be fair and balanced. We encourage teams to register for the appropriate level of competition. If you are interested in playing but do not have a team contact the Community Services Department to be added to the ‘free agent’ list.
